Are you looking to dedicate a weekend to enhance your relationship or address concerns? Join our Couples Retreats held in Illinois and Wisconsin multiple times per year, from Saturday and Sunday 9am to 4pm. Additional details are listed below.
What Is A Couples Retreat?
Couples retreats enhance your marriage with the reciprocity of caring, connection, and contribution values. At the core of your love and re-found or current admiration and fondness for each other. The retreat consists of six 2-hour educational process group sessions. You will learn communication tools and techniques for conflict resolution, deeper connection, and overall better relations with your spouse or significant other. All couples will individually complete an initial couples assessment and submit it prior to the retreat. This will help us understand the persons within the relationship and some of the dynamics prior to entering the retreat. It also starts the process for you to gain some introspection into your relationship.
What Topics Are Covered?
Within the retreat curriculum topics include and are not limited to the following: Intimacy enhancement, self and other forgiveness for past hurts including affairs and trauma, and how to work through them. How to dissolve the cycle of hurt among other cycles, communication style and seven best practices in communicating, self love component specific for men and women (self psychology and “other” psychology are equally important in a relationship), shared vision and the importance of the values of contribution, caring, and connection. Data collected from the couples assessments will also be used in delivery of the learned objectives to tailor the program in favor of the couples within the retreat and any dynamic patterns observed from received assessments prior to the date of the retreat.
