20EUR for 2 hour length class per person
There will be lots of kicks, energetic mood, but also we will master the flow and effortless, smoother dancing in Charleston. Expect not only learn good moves, and get inspiration boost for your Charleston dancing, but also collect some good energy for the day.
We are going to:
- master Charleston basics and it’s groove in order to dance it on any tempo swing music;
- learn tandem, chase, hacksaw and flying charleston moves variations* and unexpected transitions into them.
*will be selected according group level of dancing and class flow.
INSTRUCTORS
Vicent is a spanish dancer with previous experience in salsa. Vicent learnt to dance Lindy hop in Barcelona 10y ago and since 2021 he has been very active in the Helsinki community: teaching and organising events. He loves to dance energetically but keeping a relaxed and light connection.
Kristina is dancing Lindy hop and other dance styles such as solo jazz, collegiate shag, balboa for over than 10 years. Social dancing, mixing those styles in a couple is one of her favorite thing to do and therefore the content she shares in her classes is a lot about how to find the quality of the movement: better connection, musicality, expression, comfort. “I try to share simple but my best personal hacks into dancing”.
Vicent and Kristina started their partnership as practice buddies when they unexpectedly met here in Vilnius in 2023 on one of those summer socials. It grew into participating in competitions where they successfully had a chance to get into the finals for Lindy hop strictly and in 2024 together won a 3rd place.
LANGUAGE
Workshop will be held in English and translated into Lithuanian, don’t worry we’re probably going to dance and laugh more than we talk anyway!
