About this Event
Prerequisite:
Dancers must have a strong grasp of the two-hand, one-hand, right-to-right, and alternate basic, and be able to transition smoothly between them. Participants should also demonstrate consistent footwork, timing, and connection with a partner in order to attend.
Country Swing Training is a four-week intermediate practice series designed for experienced dancers who want to elevate their country swing, whether for competition or higher-level social dancing.
Each session will focus on the core elements that help create strong country swing dancing: timing, technique, teamwork, and showmanship. Dancers will work through drills, new moves, and structured practice while learning and refining skills such as rides, combos, whips, and dips.
This series is for dancers who are motivated to improving their skills, expanding their movement vocabulary, and developing confidence on the dance floor.
During week four, dancers will participate in a mock spotlight competition followed by constructive feedback to help identify strengths and areas for growth.
Come ready to train, challenge yourself, and take your country swing to the next level.
