Join “SkyBridge on Stevenson” and CounterPulse for its opening Thursday night weekly series at the Skybridge on Stevenson for 2021 brought to you by Zendesk, Creative Grounds Production Group, MMCBD, SFMTA, OEWD, and the San Francisco Parks Alliance.Come early and enjoy an array of local dance performances by Andreina Maldonado, Rick Darnell, and Kiandanda Dance Theater, all curated by CounterPulse as part of the 2021 CounterPulse Festival. Stay for a special evening of live music, dance and art through a celebration of the distinct and beautiful diversity of the San Francisco SOMA community and beyond. As always, you can help support local businesses by enjoying cuisine from neighborhood restaurants Montesacro SF, and The Grilled Cheez Guy.
SkyBridge is located on Stevenson St between 6th and 7th street in San Francisco’s SOMA district.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS
Andreína Maldonado, is a Venezuelan performing artist, cultural worker and social justice advocate based in Yelamu, Ohlone territory colonially known as San Francisco, California. She is formally trained in traditional dances from the African diaspora in Venezuela, and West African dance, and most recently in modern/contemporary movement forms. Her first love, however, is music, having played the clarinet since she was 7 years old, Andreina uses her voice, the Venezuelan 4-string guitar “Cuatro” and the clarinet to write original songs and collaborate with other artists. Her artistic work centers on spirituality, the cosmos, nature, migration, and social justice issues such as labor rights for immigrant workers. Andreína teaches free yoga, dance and meditation classes every week, and performs regularly at community events.
