Countdown Improv Festival Workshops

We are very excited to offer 12 workshops as part of the fifth annual Countdown Improv Festival! Workshops will take place in person at HCC Ybor City on Friday, October 22 and Saturday, October 23 and online workshops will take place entirely on Saturday, October 23.

Format

Workshops at this year’s festival will last one hour each. This format will allow students to experience the style and philosophy of the greatest possible number of instructors at the festival. The number of students per workshop will not be capped, but we anticipate an average of 8-10 students per workshop.

Pricing

Workshops cost $15 each; for $50, you can purchase an all-access pass that will allow you to take as many workshops as you like. For those purchasing an all-access pass, we'll follow up asking you to select which workshops you are most interested in to get as accurate a head count as we can.

Online Workshops

Online workshops will be available for those who prefer that option, as well as for our online-only performers and anyone else outside of Tampa. We will offer one online-only workshop, and four online sections of workshops also taking place in-person at the festival.

COVID-19 mitigation

Due to the current COVID-19 data in Florida, we will require instructors and students, regardless of their vaccination status, to wear a mask or face covering for the entirety of the one-hour in-person workshop, except when eating or drinking (which should be rare, because you really shouldn't be eating during an improv workshop!) We thank you in advance for your cooperation. If you do not have a mask, one will happily be provided to you free of charge.

Ample space will be provided between seats in classroom spaces to allow for social distancing.
