Join Us for a Public Safety Community Meeting – March 1, 2025Dear Trenton Residents,
I invite you to join me, Council Vice President Jasi Edwards, for an important Public Safety Meeting on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Mercer County Community College, in Kerney Hall.
This meeting is co-hosted by the Focus Group on School Safety Subcommittee and the Mercer County Community College Career Prep Program, led by Director Darius Dove.

This will be the first in a series of community-driven discussions to develop a Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) ordinance for Trenton. We are bringing residents, students, and stakeholders together to create an independent oversight board that will help ensure police accountability, transparency, and community trust.
At this meeting, we will:
✅ Introduce the CCRB concept and its importance for public safety.
✅ Hear from key speakers, including experts on civilian oversight.
✅ Engage in breakout discussions to gather community input.
✅ Work together to shape how the CCRB will function in Trenton.
This is an opportunity for you to have a voice in public safety policy, strengthen relationships with City Council, and help shape a more accountable policing system in our city. Your input is critical to ensuring this initiative truly represents the needs of our community.
