Cotswold Scratch Morris

Back for another Morris filled evening, this time we will be attending the recently opened pub ‘The Sisters’ (formerly known as Dick Whittingtons) we will be dancing outside in the courtyard but the venue also has space inside should the weather take a turn. As always dancings followed by a music session.
If you came last time, you now know the drill! If you didn’t, then please be sure to share what traditions/dances you know ahead of time. That way, I have a good idea of what dances we can line up. The evening will run in turns and is very fluid. We finished off with jigs, which I think we will do again, so prepare your finest jig!
If you are a musician who didn’t attend last time, all are welcome. The first half of the evening will be playing Cotswold tunes for the dancers, any musician is welcome to join in if you know the tune. We will then go on to have a session after the dancing has finished
Venue
Dancing will start from approximately 7:00–9ish outside in the courtyard, or inside if the weather isn’t kind. Please note a slightly earlier start time due to darker evenings.
Parking
There is plenty of pay and display roadside parking around the venue and a large pay and display carpark at the end of westgate street (please check closing times ahead of the event)
