?Corpo Poetico®
This is an artistic/pedagogical methodological approach based on extensive field experience, yet innovative as it is always attentive to cultural and social changes.
For whom Able-bodied and differently-abled dancers, actors, performers, recent graduates, and students in relevant artistic, educational, liberal arts, and sports science disciplines. Also open to social health workers, educators, special needs teachers, dance and theater instructors.
Purpose To acquire skills or deepen knowledge related to the theme of disability in theater, dance, performance, and educational processes. The focus is on the body as a poetic instrument, fostering relationships, communication, and education.
Note Throughout the program, differently abled dancers/performers will be present as artistic mediators.
?PEDAGOGICAL TOOLS
Group dynamics with body mediation, relaxation techniques, analysis of spontaneous movement, elements of contemporary dance, ethics of contact, elements of contact dance, elements of physical theatre, moments of verbalization of bodily/experiential lived experiences shared with the participant group, the expressive body: reflections on the disabled body on stage, how to build a creative/dramaturgical imaginary for and by different abilities.

They have been working together since 1998, and over the years they have established workshops for choreographic and acting research aimed at integration. In 2000 they founded the collective VI-KAP, composed of able-bodied and disabled dancers. They have been conducting training courses for dancers, actors and professionals in the field for years. Both of them teach at social cooperatives and dance schools for projects dedicated to integration.
They have presented their artistic works in national and international theater/dance festivals and video dance events. The Corpo Poetico® method is included in the international training programs for professional dancers such as Art Factory International, as well as the Anfibia program for cross-disciplinary performers, both situated in Bologna. It is also part of international training programs for European Erasmus+ projects at www.creativi108.com.
The method is integrated into the 1st-level University Master's program Pedagogy in Theater at the Bologna University’s Department of Education Sciences. Additionally, it serves as a protocol for a Work-study program for students involved in the documentary filmmaking course (DOC) at Laura Bassi High School in Bologna.
