He is interested in international heritage issues, having worked on projects and initiatives in Africa, China, the USA and the Middle East.
He lectures on sustainable design, conservation and reuse at a number of universities, and currently sits on the Historic England Historic Places Panel, the Challenge Panel for the Houses of Parliment Restoration & Renewal and the Design West Review Panel.
Bath Abbey Project
Geoff will be presenting the practice's work on a ten-year project to protect Bath Abbey’s internationally significant historic buildings for future generations, reducing their environmental impact and facilitating their ongoing relevance.
Bath Abbey has been standing at the centre of Christian faith in the UNESCO City of Bath for more than 1300 years. The £19.3 million programme of restoration, building works and interpretation improves its accessibility, sustainability, hospitality and service to the city – and visitors from around the world – as well as providing flexibility for worship now and in the future.
This event is kindly supported by sponsorship from Newforma and supported by RIBA South West.
