Cornerstone Thursdays: Jazz Jams & Open Mic

Every Thursday night, Cornerstone Music Café turns into a jam room! Grab dinner and a drink, bring your instrument (or just your ears), and join a community of musicians and music lovers. Here’s what’s happening each week:
1st Thursday: Pro Jazz Jam
Play your favourite standards with our house band: Jim Johnston (drums), Emile Leger (guitar) and host David Lavoie (upright bass). Players and singers who know the jazz idiom get priority, but everyone is welcome.
2nd Thursday: Start & Stop Jazz Jam (Beginner Friendly)
New to jamming? This is your night. Try it once, then try it again, in a relaxed, no-judgement zone. Sit in or just come enjoy the hang.
3rd Thursday: Teacher Feature & Jazz Jam
One of our studio teachers joins the house band, and their students take the stage for the opening set! The Pro Jam follows.
4th Thursday: Open Mic with Linden Conroy
Musicians, poets, comedians and performers of every kind are welcome. It’s a supportive stage for sharing your talent with an appreciative crowd.
5th Thursday: Curated Jazz Jam
In months with a fifth Thursday, David builds a one-of-a-kind house band from past jammers. Come see what’s new!

Full café menu, coffee and drinks are available all evening.

All ages and all levels are welcome. See you on Thursday! 🎵
