The Cornell Jazz Ensemble and the Appel Jazz Sextet welcome internationally acclaimed trumpeter and composer Ingrid Jensen for an evening of modern and classic jazz repertoire. The first half features selections from the great band libraries of Duke Ellington and Count Basie, along with more recent works by Joe Henderson and Kinfolk. The second half includes music by Ingrid and Christine Jensen, Miles Davis, Rachel Eckroth, and Richie Beirach, as well as arrangements by Jim McNeely and Cornell student arranger Turner Aldrich.photo credit: Zeinab Faraj
