Corks & Canvas: William H. Johnson Paint Party

Whether you like to paint solo or with a friend, your spouse, or a date, this Tuesday evening painting workshop is for you, regardless of your skill level. This time, we celebrate the work of William H. Johnson with our Paint Party. We will share wine and beverages, snacks, and stories as we paint our interpretations of “Harriet Tubman” or one of Johnson’s other inspirational paintings in the exhibition “Fighters for Freedom: William H. Johnson Picturing Justice.”
Even if you have never used a paintbrush, you will enjoy this event and go home with an artwork you will be proud of as you get step-by-step instructions. Paint, brushes, and canvas are provided.
“Fighters for Freedom: William H. Johnson Picturing Justice” is organized by the Smithsonian American Art Museum. Generous support for this project is provided by Art Bridges.
Paint Party is for those 21 and older.
COST: $25 for AMA members; $30 for future members.
