Welcome to the adrenaline-fueled world of racing! Here's a comprehensive breakdown of what to expect:Event Details:
Date: May 11th
Location: Sam Houston Race Park
First Post Time: 6:30 PM
Contestants are required to sign in at the North Pavilion upon arrival.
Clear directional signage will guide contestants to the North Pavilion.
Race Format:
Qualifying rounds will take place after Races 2, 3, and 4.
The final showdown will occur after Race 6, featuring the winners from each qualifier.
Races 2, 3, and 4 will consist of 2 heats, 3 heats, and 3 heats.
Registration:
Registration is now open on our website. Contestants can visit SHRP.com to register.
Don't miss our Draw Party on the Friday before May 3rd, where contestants will determine their race order.
Program Distribution:
1500 Programs will be available for distribution.
Programs will be strategically placed at various locations for easy access.
Practice Course:
A dedicated practice course will be set up at the Pavilion.
Vendor and Rescue Organizations:
Vendors and Rescue Organizations, including Ruff Tails, will be located at the Pavilion.
Food & Beverage and Wagering:
Food & Beverage and Mutuel wagering operations will be set up at the Pavilion to enhance the overall experience.

Bag Policy:
• Clear bags including totes and backpacks that do not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”
• One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar)
• Small clutch bag approximately the size of a hand that does not exceed 5” x 7”
• Laptop Bags may be subject to security checks upon entry. Management retains the right to deny entry with laptop bags.
• Medical bags containing necessary health items are acceptable after proper inspection and approval from venue personnel/security
