An update on Jax, one of the founding members of Delaware Corgis…
It breaks my heart to share this update. Our sweet Jax has been diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma, and it has spread throughout his body. We are taking things one day at a time and focusing on keeping him comfortable, loved, and surrounded by everything that brings him joy.
For those who may not know, Jax and his sister are the founding corgis of Delaware Corgis, they are the reason this community exists and has grown to over 700 followers. What started with him and his sister turned into friendships, meetups, memories, and a true community.
Jax has also spent 10 years as a therapy dog with PAWS for People, giving his heart to others without hesitation. He has comforted countless people in nursing homes, work places, PAWS events, and difficult moments, quietly doing what he does best which is loving others.
While we are covering many of his medical expenses ourselves, we have created a GoFundMe to help offset some of the growing costs associated with his care. There is absolutely no pressure to donate. Sharing, sending love, or keeping Jax in your thoughts means just as much to us.
We are hopeful to have a big corgi meet up to celebrate Jax and his sister’s 11th birthday on Saturday June 27th so please save the date. Seeing you all there would mean the world to us. I will be creating the event page soon.
