Walk Details:
Meet at 6:30 PM at G and Willard Streets.
The walk will begin promptly at 7:28 PM, the time of Corey's tragic death.
The route will lead through the streets to Broad Street.
6:30 PM: Meet at G and Willard
7:28 PM: Silent walk with candles begins (representing Corey's 19 years of life)
Walk Route: Through the streets up to Broad Street
Moment of Silence: At the end of the walk for all gun violence victims
Purpose:
To honor the memory of Corey, who was tragically killed by gun violence.
To demand an end to gun violence and protect our children.
To raise awareness about the devastating impact of gun violence on individuals, families, and communities. * Participants are encouraged to bring candles and wear white or blue in memory of Corey.
* The walk will be silent for the first 19 minutes to represent Corey's age at the time of his death.
* Speakers make a speech or tell their stories
* At the end of the walk, there will be a moment of silence for all gun violence victims.
* This is a peaceful and family-friendly event.
