About this Event

[Español a continuación]

Join CORE for a creative evening exploring the connections between art, food, land, somatics and racial justice.

Art, Community and Triumph (ACT) brings together local artists, food-system practitioners and community members for an evening of hands-on creative workshops, reflection, and a shared meal.

Rather than spending the evening listening to presentations, participants will be invited to experience these ideas through making, movement, and conversation with some food in the mix.

The evening will include a community welcome and grounding, participants’ choice of hands-on workshops led by local artists and facilitators, a shared meal, opportunities to connect with other community members and a closing reflection to carry what we experience into the week ahead.

ACT is for artists, growers, food-system practitioners, organizers and community members, as well as anyone curious about the role creativity can play in building more just communities.

You do not need to identify as an artist or have any previous artistic experience to participate.

ACT is intentionally BIPOC-centered and open to people of all racial identities.
