About this Event
Prerequisites: none
This is a series of ongoing classes and discussions covering fundamentals of the art of Japanese rope bondage from the perspective of the top and the bottom, in a safe environment. Classes are presented by a collective of experienced local rope artists having received education from qualified teachers around the world.
These classes are intended for beginner riggers, bottoms and switches. We welcome all individuals who share our passion for rope education and creating safe spaces, regardless of their gender, orientation, race, religion, body type and ability.
All ties will be executed on the floor. You do not need a partner to attend intro as all ties can be practiced on yourself. There may be opportunities for pairing up if more than one unpartnered person is present at the class.
What to bring?
* At least two ropes (7-8 meters/30ft). Natural fiber rope is ideal, but be mindful of any allergies you and/or your partner may have when choosing the type of rope you want to work with. If you do not have any rope, there will be some available which you can borrow for the duration of the class
* Safety shears (some extra safety shears will be available at the class)
* Paper and writing implement
* Drinking water
Rules of the class are the same as other CORE classes and Hang Outs. Please familiarize yourself with [the rules][https://fetlife.com/users/7926838/posts/5294527].
CORE hopes to cultivate a passion for rope across Ottawa by creating inclusive classes and gathering a diversity of members of different communities, genders, abilities, ages, socio-economics, and sexual orientations.
