Coral Gables Love Reading Party - October

Join us for a reading party at the cafe, Cala Millor in Coral Gables. All you need to bring is a physical, digital, or audio book to read. Make new book-loving friends and enjoy some time reading. Finally, you don't have to pick between reading and socializing. Do both at the same time and hang out with us.

How It Works

We'll have two reading sessions of 45 minutes each with a 30 minute intermission to meet other attendees, play trivia with book giveaways, and share what you're reading. Your ticket includes lite bites.

Bring a book. Take a book!

Need to open up some space on your shelves for more books? Bring any books you've read and enjoyed for our Book Swap. And then take a book from the Book Swap! Participating in the book exchange is optional and usually we have so many books that you can take books even if you didn't bring one.

Intermission Host: Aurora Dominguez

Aurora Dominguez is a teacher, professor, live moderator and journalist. Her past work includes being a writer and editor for The Miami Herald, as well as being a managing editor for Where South Florida Magazine. Currently, Dominguez interviews authors about their craft and reviews novels for Booklist and Book Trib. Her bookish column, "Reading Rainbow," is a weekly staple on OUTSFL, which covers author interviews. She also currently writes feature and travel stories as a freelancer for a variety of outlets. She lives in Hollywood, FL with her cat Luna (plus, outdoor kitties Niles and Charlie,) and her husband, Sebastian.
