Join this engaging 4-hour glass workshop with renowned Darwin artist Melanie Tribe and discover the magic of kiln-formed glass. In this beginner-friendly session, you’ll create your own glass coral bowl—layering, cutting, and fusing glass to form a unique sculptural piece inspired by sea coral.
While the results are striking, the process is accessible and a great introduction to working with kiln glass. You’ll be guided step-by-step through safe glass cutting, shaping, selecting and preparing moulds, and an introduction to kiln firing.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have created your own finished coral bowl, which will be fired in the kiln and ready for collection the following Wednesday.
This workshop also opens the door to joining the monthly Tactile Arts Fused Glass Group.
