Crafter’s World Fair - Leovir 509 A.S.
Leovir has come again to Rowanon and to Vorydia. That means it is time for the annual Crafter's World Fair! Crafters the world over have been honing their inventions for the Invention Symposium Competitions. Customers eager to make a deal anticipate a lucrative season for the annual sales! It is indeed an event that is celebrated all over the known world.
Guildmaster Kushiel has announced an amazing Invention Competition for this year, including prizes and prestige to be awarded, so all Vorydian crafters with new inventions to showcase are encouraged to enter! This competition is open to all crafters, including those who are not members of the Guild. Judging will take place on Solday of the gathering, and any guild members of Apprentice level skill or lower are encouraged to volunteer to help the Guildmaster with judging! It is announced that there have been some new categories added to the traditional competition. These are Artisan Alchemy, Artisan Engineered Devices, Artisan Inscriptionist Items, Artisan Smithed Items, Master Alchemy, Master Engineered Devices, Master Inscriptionist Items, Master Smithed Items, Arcane Non-Crafter Inventions, Divine Non-Crafter Inventions, Academic Non-Crafter Inventions, and Other Non-Crafter Items. Competition rules and entry applications will be available all Gathering.
The World Fair is a yearly event that takes place in most civilized countries during the month of Leovir. It is a time when crafters, merchants, and those looking for a good deal hold large market festivals for the purpose of commerce, trade, and new product debut. Most traders offer amazing discounts, showcase new inventions, and hold auctions for interesting wares during this time. It is also traditional for a percentage of market proceeds of this time to be donated to charity. This month is also considered sacred to Keld. It is also tradition for there to be open auctions for more rare and antiquated items. This year, there will be two auctions held; one Public Auction and one being billed as “High Rollers.”
While merchants, crafters, and auctioneers are gearing up for the festivities, many wonder whether the recent troubles of Vorydia will disrupt the trade of the season, trade that many rely on for a living. The duchy of Irongaard has graciously taken up the reins of hosting this month's gathering in the duchy capital of Rooney’s Rest.
Travelers to Irongaard are forewarned to be on the lookout for bandit activity, which has grown to problematic levels since the war ended. Among the most notable, seems a new gang calling itself the Chainbreakers is making a name for itself in Bannoch.
Likewise, everyone seems on high alert, with an unhealthy dollop of paranoia, about a dastardly illusionist playing malicious games with the good citizenry of Heroes, an enigmatic arcane master doing volatile things with runes, and that darn hourglass!
Rumors on the streets include the news that something weird is going on with more gang activity in the Southlands, that the quests for the repair of Vorydian diplomacy and rebuilding efforts continue, and perhaps the most disturbing rumor of all… that the Blighter is about the make It’s return!

- Chef Guy’s Kitchen will be serving Saturday Feast as usual, with the menu To Be Determined. We will announce the menu when it has been finalized.
- Breakfast will be served Saturday and Sunday morning.
- Lunch Day Board, and Beverages will be available all weekend.
