Coquí Club: Hanging with Your Friends

Join Coquí Club, our bilingual program specially designed for El Museo del Barrio's youngest visitors! Led by our museum educators, this interactive experience includes storytelling, gallery exploration, and a hands-on art-making activity. Don’t forget to wear your Coquí crowns and get ready for a morning full of creativity and fun!

We’re excited to launch our fall season of Coquí Club with a celebration of friendship and community! Inspired by our exhibition Jangueando: Recent Acquisitions, 2021–2025, we’ll explore the ways we connect with friends and enjoy our favorite neighborhood spots.

We’ll begin with story time featuring My Friends by Taro Gomi, followed by a visit to the gallery to see vibrant artworks that capture the spirit of everyday life and togetherness. Then, we’ll create a collaborative mural showing where we love to janguear, to hang out and have fun with our friends.

Perfect for children ages 3–5 and their grownups, this first session of the Fall of Coquí Club invites families to come together in a morning full of art, exploration, and community joy!

Space is limited—if you reserve a spot but can’t attend, please cancel in advance to allow others to participate.

Each child must be registered separately. Recommended for ages 3–5. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
