About this Event
A Community Deep Listening Event: Feast of Losses - A Communion of Grief & Gratitude
Come to the Wishing Well Center where we'll gather to honor loss, grief, and gratitude in an experiential and reverential setting.
"Feast of Losses" features poetry read by Kim Rosen layered over cello tracks played by Jami Seber. Jami and Kim were joined by a host of incredible musicians, creating a transformative convergence of poems and music emerging from the heartbreak, gratitude, and wake-up call of this moment in our lives and in the lives of our world.
The album includes poems by Langston Hughes, Stanley Kunitz, Marie Howe, Ellen Bass, Lucille Clifton, W.S. Merwin, Deena Metzger, Mark Nepo, Yehuda Amichai, and Mary Oliver.
This gathering offers the opportunity to listen deeply and participate in an afternoon of reflection, healing, and connection in the full-spectrum experience of loss, grief, and gratitude.
Please Bring:
- A small, meaningful object to place on our community altar for the duration of the event (it will return home with you).
- A journal and something to write with.
- A yoga mat, pillow, or blanket(optional as folding chairs will be provided).
- Your open and tender heart.
