If you answered yes to any of these three questions, this class was designed for you.

CLASSROOM PORTION: $100 (Coffee & Lunch is provided)

Safe and proper handling of a handgun. You’ll learn the basic safety rules which must never be broken. Negligent discharges (guns going off accidentally) don’t just happen, they are caused. In this lesson, you’ll learn not only the proper way to hold your pistol but also several different tactics that may one day save your life. Also, there is a comprehensive legal portion taught by a Law Enforcement Officer. In addition, we will discuss where you can and can’t carry and tips to keep you out of trouble.

Loading and unloading your pistol - Snap caps (Dummy rounds) will be used in this lesson. There will be no live ammunition allowed in the classroom.

Basic shooting range etiquette includes the basic safety rules - In addition, you’ll learn how to clear malfunctions (when the gun doesn’t perform properly). Also, we will cover hang fires and squib loads and how to deal with each of them.

No pistol class would be complete without discussing the safe storage of your pistol - We will explore the many pistol storage products that are available from conventional key and combination operated safes to the more hi-tech biometric options.

Range Portion $40 - We will have you shoot the day of the class to ensure you are comfortable and have the correct grip and posture. We will help you build safety habits and build your confidence in firearm handling. We will provide the firearm and ammunition. You will be required to bring your own eye protection.

You will leave this class with newfound skills, confidence, and the ability to apply for a certificate of completion so you can apply to the State of Michigan for your Concealed Pistol License.

Total Cost $140 - Includes Classroom Portion, Firearm Rental, Range Time & Ammo (Eye protection required)
