Community Quilt Circle!

This Hispanic Heritage Month will highlight the importance of storytelling, and craft circles. Visit Lillian Marrero Branch on Thursdays 2:30-4:30 beginning September 25th and ending October 9th for drop-in fabric square design workshops with Shanise B and Nicolle V! The second workshop is Thursday, October 2, 2025 2:30-4:30 p.m

Participants will create squares/blocks from fabric and scrap material which will be combined with others’ work to form a large quilt, to then be displayed at the show. Patrons can expect to learn basic sewing skills and enjoy opportunities for conversation. Supplies, including scrap fabric, needles, and thread will be provided on loan.

Community members are encouraged to bring special, sentimental pieces of fabric and material from home to include in the quilt

All submitted pieces will be made into a quilt, and fabric cannot be returned/taken back.
