DURING THIS 2-DAY WORKSHOP YOU WILL BE MAKING AN EYE-CATCHING COPPER FOILED GLASS SUNCATCHER. Over the course of the weekend, you will learn how to cut and shape glass to a template and then wrap each piece in foil tape before soldering together to make a beautiful suncatcher.
There will be a variety of design templates to choose from ranging from beginner-friendly to intermediate for those with some prior experience. We will add copper loops so your piece can easily be hung with your choice of chain or cord. This method is known as the Tiffany technique” as it was Pioneered by Louis Comfort Tiffany, an American artist and designer best known for his work in stained glass and his world-famous Tiffany lamps.
The workshop is suitable for all levels with all tuition, materials and tools included.
Drinks and snacks will be provided throughout the day but please bring along packed lunch.
The workshop is suitable for adults 16+ and will take place in Little Wing studio at Art at the Grange, in Milngavie. Postcode is G62 8AQ
