In this class, new and experienced cooks will explore the treasures of the season — the long-awaited spring vegetables. We’ll begin with some discussion and end with a feast you help prepare!
We’ll go over what’s in that first CSA box of the season and what to expect to find at farmers markets and grocery stores — from rhubarb and ramps, to peashoots and fiddleheads. Bring your questions about how to select, store, preserve, and cook with your favorite (or most vexing) produce.
Then, you’ll bake a savory vegetable galette; blend up a bright and surprising spring soup; and bake a classic spring desert. We’ll all enjoy a meal together!
