Cooking with Chocolate: Sicilian Caponata & Handmade Truffles (Chef Maria Strazzanti)
Discover the unexpected harmony of Sicilian tradition and chocolate in this unique cooking experience with Chef Maria Strazzanti.
We will begin with a live demonstration of a classic Sicilian agrodolce sauce, finished with a subtle touch of chocolate. Originating from Palermo, this sweet-and-sour flavour is famously used in caponata, one of Sicily’s most iconic dishes.
While the caponata slowly cooks, the class shifts into a hands-on truffle-making session. You will prepare three delicious flavours:
· Coconut
· Raspberry
· Double Chocolate
Once the caponata is ready, we will sit together and enjoy it in class while the truffles chill and set in the fridge. At the end of the evening, you’ll take your handmade chocolate truffles home to enjoy.
This class is perfect for anyone curious about traditional Sicilian flavours and the versatility of chocolate in both savoury and sweet preparations.

7:30 PM – Hands-on truffle making (3 flavours)
8:30 PM – Communal tasting: caponata
