About this Event
Bone broth is a savory, nutrient-dense, collagen-rich liquid made from simmering marrow-rich animal bones over a long period. Bone broth is not only perfect for sipping on a cozy winter night but also serves as a flavorful, nutritious base for soups, stews, sauces, and even gravies. In this workshop, instructor Toby Manganiello will help students discover just how simple it is to prepare and store bone broth at home. While studnts will be using beef bones in the session, the same time-honored technique can be applied to wild game, poultry, and other meats, making this skill adaptable to various diets and preferences.
Cooking Up the Harvest is a series of classes created in partnership between Slow Food Wind River, Meadowlark Market & Kitchen, and Central Wyoming College Lander, made possible with funding through the Lander District Recreation Board.
