Free Cooking Classes for Caregivers 🍎Join Virginia Cooperative Extension’s Family Nutrition Program for In the Kitchen, a free, hands-on cooking class series for caregivers of children 12 years old or younger.
Over four sessions , you’ll prepare low-cost, family‑friendly meals, learn tips for saving money on groceries, practice simple ways to be active as a family, and enjoy a meal together each week.
Participants who complete the series will receive a free slow cooker and other items to support cooking at home.
Dates & Times (4‑week series)
Fridays at 2:30 PM, June 12th, 26th, July 10th and 24th
Who can participate?
Caregivers of children 12 or younger who meet one of the following:
Eligible for SNAP
Eligible for WIC
Have a child attending a school where 50% or more of students receive free or reduced‑price meals
Registration is required. Space may be limited.
