Cookie Decorating Class | Iowa City

Mental Bakedown is bringing a beginner-friendly sugar cookie decorating class to Big Grove Brewery in Iowa City.

Come join the two hour, hands-on class! This class teaches the basics of decorating sugar cookies with royal icing in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Guests will learn techniques including outlining, flooding, icing consistency, layering, and simple detailing while completing a set of six themed decorated cookies to take home.

All decorating supplies are provided, including pre-baked cookies, royal icing, and any tools that might be needed.

Food and beverages will be available to purchase allowing guests to enjoy the full taproom experience while participating in the class.

No prior decorating experience is necessary.

Intended for ages 12 and up (attendees under 12 years of age are required to have a paying adult present).
