The 2024 theme for Cook Islands Language Week is ‘Ātui’ia au ki te vaka o tōku matakeinanga - The connection of my vaka to my tribe’
You are invited to join the formal flag raising ceremony, at the Peace Memorial in Te Rauparaha Park.
This event is weather dependant and will be moved to the performing arts space at Pātaka if raining. The flag raising ceremony will also be morning tea and refreshments at Pātaka after the ceremony.
