An upcoming installment of the Conversations with Storytellers will feature storyteller and retired engineer Roy Harris at 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, at Pigeon Community Multicultural Development Center in Waynesville.
Harris belongs to three storytelling organizations: Asheville Storytelling Circle (of which he is a former president), North Carolina Association of Black Storytellers and the National Association of Black Storytellers.
He grew up in the small hamlet of Sladesville, N.C. and spent 40 years working as an engineer for Fortune 500 companies up and down the East Coast.
