About this Event
Athlete, activist, and author Kathrine Switzer made history in 1967 when she became the first woman to run the Boston Marathon, resulting in backlash and women being barred from the marathon until 1972. Her incredible story is one of perseverance and global social change. Because of her millions of women are now empowered by the simple act of running.
Supported by the Sandra Schatten Foundation.
