Conversations in Colour (In-Person) Postpartum Creative Journaling Group

Using a wide range of art materials, provided by Mothercraft, you will be invited to explore a weekly topic related to postpartum life and mental wellbeing. This group is professionally facilitated by a Registered Art Therapist and an experienced perinatal outreach worker.

We collage, we scribble, we paint, we doodle, we play!

No art experience needed.

Tuesday mornings from May 26 to July 21 2026, 9:30-11:30 am

In-person at Mothercraft Ottawa 475 Evered Ave, Ottawa

Session structure:

9:30 - 10:00 - gentle landing – we know it’s hard to get anywhere on time with a baby, so we offer an arrival window

10:00 – opening check-in and discussion of the topic and art invitation

10:15 – art-making and conversation

11:15 – sharing circle (optional)

The small print:

· This is a closed group, meaning registration is required for the whole ten-week session. We understand that life is unpredictable with babies, so occasional absences are expected!

· Registration is limited to 6 participants.

· “Babes-in-arms”/infants who are not yet crawling are welcome. Adult participants make art while babes nap and play in the infant-friendly space.
