Existential risks are on the rise. Can our leaders meet the moment?
Each year at Conversations Before Midnight, the Bulletin convenes leaders in science, policy, business, and philanthropy for a solutions-focused dialogue on humanity’s most pressing challenges. Coming just days after the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, this year’s gathering takes on special significance. Join us as we discuss whether global leaders will find new solutions or create new challenges around the most pressing issues of our time—nuclear risk, climate change, and disruptive technologies.
This year, the event features a new format.
We will kick off the evening with a reception and keynote discussion and Q&A followed by an intimate, exclusive dinner with Bulletin leaders. Your support of the Bulletin's annual signature event will further our critical mission to engage experts, the public, and policymakers through fact-based analysis and science journalism.
We look forward to seeing you on November 12 in downtown Chicago. The event schedule is listed below:
• 5:00 p.m. Cocktail Reception
• 6:00 p.m. Keynote Discussion with Q&A
• 7:30 p.m. Exclusive Dinner with Bulletin Leaders
