About this Event
Join us for a special evening of conversation, poetry, and reflection featuring Grammy-winning artist Tarriona “Tank” Ball of Tank and the Bangas in conversation with BreakFree Education Executive Director David Domenici at Baldwin & Co. in New Orleans.
Together, they will explore themes of purpose, persistence, creativity, and intrinsic motivation — and the ways art can help young people imagine new possibilities for themselves and their futures.
As part of the evening, Tank will also help amplify the voices of incarcerated youth by performing selected poems from BreakFree Education’s national Words Unlocked poetry initiative, which invites young people in confinement across the country to share their stories, experiences, and dreams through poetry.
This event is presented in partnership with BreakFree Education, Baldwin & Co., and Travis Hill NOLA Schools.
