Event Description:

Be privy to a conversation between two researchers - one a journalist and investigative reporter and the other a historical fiction researcher – that relied on a variety of resources to tell the stories of a drug war and a train robbery. How do they decide what’s factual and what’s not? What didn’t make it into the books, because they could not verify it to their level of standards? What level of research is required for different facts? What research did they come by that was absolute without a doubt? Which subjects or materials did they find suspect, and with what motive? Join this talk for a peek behind the scenes of the research it took for these two very distinct and deep pieces of work.
