About this Event
During this 3-Day workshop across 6/17, 6/18 and 6/19- you will take a journey from the page thru presentation along with Nick and his team! Come prepared to enjoy 8 full hours of collaboration each day in a safe and supportive environment.
Price per person: $450

Cancellations/refunds are accepted up to 24hrs prior to the event start date/time.

Breakdown of an action sequence:

Who are your characters and why do they move the way they do?
What is the tone of the story?
Basic blocking of the scene.
How to use the frame, making it a tool or a weapon.
How to use composition to further the narrative.
The rules of the line: how to use them and when you can break them.
Day 2-
Putting the action in the action sequence:
Making choreography feel real.
How to use the environment.
Moving camera with the choreography.
Adding actors to the scene.
Making action they can replicate on set
How to play for / adjust to camera
Adding the finishing touches.
Day 3 -
Putting it all together:
Beginning the Pre-vis process.
Shooting to edit
When to use steady cam, handheld or neither
Coverage
Finer details
How to edit.
Tricks and tips that can help along the way.
What happens when something isn’t working?
Basic vfx.
Basic lighting.
The importance of sound design.
