About this Event

Contrappuntistica is the coming together of music and poetry in a new way. Philip Hutton's poems on music is backed, improvised, or interpolated with music quotations by Brian Davidson, pianist. Together they discover aspects of Bach, Beethoven, Wagner, page turners, 1950s pop songs, Victoria Street resonating with a soprano busker singing Schubert. Brian's solo contributions are by Schubert, Mompou, and by Brian himself.
