Pimento Mori is an Ann Arbor based contra dance band that is known for their driving rhythm and exuberant energy. Heavily focused on French-Canadian reels, Irish jigs, and American swing, Pimento Mori is an four piece band consisting of two fiddles, flute, and guitar.
Maeve was introduced to contra dancing in 2014 and immediately fell in love with it. Since then, she has found a passion for contra dance calling, percussive dancing, and dance organizing. When she calls for dances, she strives to create an accessible and joyful space for all dancers.
All dances are taught; no partner or experience necessary.
If you are new to contra dancing, we recommend arriving a little early so you can join the first dances of the evening. Dances tend to start simple and increase in complexity as the evening progresses.

Please refrain from dancing if you have any respiratory illness. We hope that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Masking is welcome but not required. Testing is no longer required.
