Continuum Workshop (Skinship Berlin): The Ground That Holds Us

An embodied exploration of our connection to the ground as an ongoing source of support, through the somatic movement practice Continuum
About this Event

By attuning our awareness to our ongoing and deeply intimate relationship to the ground, we can experience it as a great and reliable source of support. We will explore this relationship through movement, sensation, breath, and sound, expanding its supportive presence in our physical bodies. This can help us to cultivate and re-establish a profound sense of stability and grounding, including in troubled times, and to deepen our connection with(in) the natural world.

✨ Continuum is a somatic practice of self-exploration (founded by Emilie Conrad) that uses sound, breath and movement in order to connect deeply with ourselves and our fluid nature. It is a way to nurture ourselves, to open up spaces for curiosity and play, to loosen the grip of our habitual tensions and movement patterns, and to access the self-regulatory capacities of the body. We can slow down, calm the nervous system and find deep rest; and we are invited to experience the ongoing processes of our bodies as wordless cosmic poetry and creative expression.

✨ Language: The workshop will be held in English and/or in German, depending on the needs of the group. Please let me know at check-out if you have a specific need or preference.

✨ Venue: The event takes place at the studio of Skinship - a touch-based place for kinship, in Berlin Friedrichshain.

PLEASE KNOW THAT THIS IS A QUEER-CENTERING SPACE - created primarily as a saf(er) space for our LGBTQA siblings. As long as you know and respect that, EVERYBODY IS WELCOME, regardless of gender identification or sexual orientation, if you see yourself as an ally. If you have any questions about this, please don't hesitate to get in touch. <3
