About this Event
C(P)LAY Floorwork is a regular open-level contemporary dance class in London, focusing on the fundamentals and possibilities of moving through the floor.
Each month, we explore a different aspect of floorwork — from spiralling and rolling to falling and turning — giving you the opportunity to develop your movement skills through focused physical practice.
The class works with weight, gravity, momentum and transitions between different levels, helping you become more comfortable, efficient and confident in moving close to the floor.
Whether you already have dance experience or are looking to develop your contemporary movement practice, the class offers a structured and accessible way to explore floorwork at your own pace.

Who is it for?
Open level. Suitable for dancers and movers with different levels of experience.
No previous floorwork experience is required, but you should be comfortable taking part in physical movement and working close to the floor.
What to wear
Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. As the class involves contact with the floor, clothing that covers the knees and elbows is recommended. Bring water and come ready to move.
