Description
I’m very excited to start regular open-level contemporary dance classes in Malmö!
In these classes, we will explore a lot of floorwork, soft acrobatics, improvisation tasks, and dance phrases. My classes are designed to develop spatial awareness, not only of the surrounding space but also in relation to others and ourselves within the dance.
We explore how to navigate both balance and off-balance, using momentum, force, release, and intentional direction to move through space with clarity, learning to stay in control while letting go of what doesn’t need to be held.
Price:
Drop-in: 200 SEK
4 classes: 650 SEK
6 classes: 850 SEK

About me:
Katarzyna is a performer, dancer, creator, and teacher. In 2024, she completed an MA in Contemporary Performing Arts at the University of Gothenburg, defending her ongoing research in movement improvisation. She works as a freelance performing artist and teaches workshops in partnering, contact improvisation, floorwork, and movement improvisation.
Currently, she is engaged in a research practice on improvised partnering Improbable Lifts, conducted together with Berlin-based artist Aaron Lang. She is a member of Collective Nest and co-organizes the annual international contemporary dance event DO Festival in Poland, which supports the freelance dance scene and provides professional education opportunities.
