Contemno
is a modern metal band formed in 2020 during the pandemic. What started as a creative outlet during lockdowns led to the release of their debut EP, Mortal Reminder, in 2022. Based in the Derby, Contemno has built a small loyal following, having supported bands such as Vulvodynia, Uuhai and Black Orchid Empire, as well as making it to the semi-finals of the 2024 Metal 2 the Masses competition. Influenced by artists such as Periphery, Veil of Maya, Oceans Ate Alaska, and Children of Bodom, their music combines technical riffs with heavy energy. The band is currently working on their first full-length album, with more exciting things to come.
