Contact Playfight awakens movement consciousness by embracing our environment with all our skin. It invites us to constant disorientation, attention towards body presence, being surprised by what’s coming next. It makes friend with the animal body, it gathers memories of sensitivity and movement skills. As kids naturally play with aggression and power, soft and gentle provocation nurtures a safe and mindful space within and between us.
It is an embracing playground, including fully the raw aspects of being human, by embodying emotional intensity, we allow freedom of interaction, breaking taboos and having fun!
It liberates enthusiasm within excitement, it enlarges our perception of slow motion and highspeed, invites us to become soft, and wild, at the same time.

For who?
this workshop is for all level, experienced and non experienced dancers, actors, martial artists and body workers

we will use a space with special soft floor for acrobatics!

Teacher:
Grégory Chevalier is a dancer, performer and choreographer. Since 2005 specializing into performative composition, Contact Improvisation, Experiential Anatomy, Authentic Movement and body systems focused movement practices. Co-founder of Forest Improvisation, Into the Wild, Moving Man and Kontaktland. Initiator of KIT ensemble. Grégory likes to combine movement investigation together with universe wisdom. He loves to offer life understanding into dance practice, wishing to serve everybody who shares his space, with seriousness and humor.

In 2016 I got acquainted with the world of contact improvisation and contemporary dance, then in 2018 I completed the Modern-Contemporary Dance group leader training of Táncpedagógusok Országos Szövetsége (Hungary). Since then, I am fuelling by a desire to learn, experiment and research. From 2021, I am a member of KIT Ensemble, founded by Grégory Chevalier. I believe in the liberating power of dance and improvisation, my calling is to hand this feeling over to as many people as I can.
