Contact Improvisation dance is liberating, creative and fun. It’s about exploring movement, balance, weight, physical contact and communication, involving two or more persons at the time.
Contact Improvisation is an improvised dance form based on the communication between two moving bodies that are in physical contact and their combined relationship to the physical laws that govern their motion: gravity, momentum, inertia. The body, to open to these sensations, learns to release excess muscular tension and abandon a certain quality of willfulness to experience the natural flow of movement.
At this event we are going to warm up together, then we will offer an expanded introduction about the basic techniques of Contact Improvisation dance, then we go into the Jam, and always there will be experienced ones surrounding and facilitating the the dancing jam, so no reason to be afraid or shy not to come ?
