What is Contakids?

ContaKids is a creative movement class for children aged 2-5, paired with a parent. Through fun exercises and games, parents and children develop body-based communication. The program promotes balance, grip, proprioception, and self-confidence, while helping parents stay active and bond with their children.

What is Contact Improvisation?

Contact improvisation is a dance style where partners create spontaneous movement through shared balance and weight. It’s an engaging, improvisational flow that emphasizes connection, trust, and mutual support. We will have two sessions led by Laura and then Kate.

What will happen in the Jam session?

In a contact improvisation jam, dancers gather to explore spontaneous movement together by sharing balance, weight, and momentum. It’s an open, freeform space where participants connect, respond, and create in the moment.

All levels are welcome to attend the class and jam session. Suitable for experienced practitioners and total beginners!
