After an absence of approximately 400 years, beavers are now back in Somerset. We know learning to live alongside them again will bring a lot of benefits, but we may also need to make some management changes. That's why we need your input on a new Beaver Management Strategy for the county.*

*Somerset Wildlife Trust has been commissioned by the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group (FWAG), with funding from the Somerset Rivers Authority (SRA), to produce a Beaver Management Strategy for the county. It could be the first completed strategy of its kind in England since beavers were made a legally protected species in 2022.
