“Imagine you are falling. But there is no ground.” — Hito Steyerl

Constructs II is a site-specific performance in a residential duplex under construction, where two performers lose their ground on an inclined grid—part wooden structure, part digital illusion. The work expands on an earlier parking lot performance with bricks, movement and a live-amplified digital soundscape.

Collaborators include dancers Briana Mendez and Britney Tokumoto; sound artists Andrew McLees and Carlos Dominguez; and visual artists/designers Freddy Jouwayed and Claudio Marcotulli.

Support for Constructs II is provided by Locust Projects through Wavemaker Grants, part of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts’ Regional Regranting Program.
