How do we develop our figure drawings to convey the illusion of weight, action, and three-dimensional reality? In this workshop, we will build on a dynamic gestural foundation and explore how to construct the figure dimensionally from simple, versatile volumes that will give our drawings presence and structure. We will then study how light reveals form and how each part of the figure flows into the next, guided by the dynamics of action and the orchestration of shape design.
